SP2022

DESCRIPTION

The SIG SAUER® SP2022® is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. Available in 9mm, .357 SIG and .40 S&W, the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm. The SP2022 – the only polymer framed pistol engineered to perform, built to protect and good enough to be called a SIG SAUER. Also available in DAO.

I own many pistols. I've had my good and bad experiences with them. A lot of them are better off as door stops. This one has ALWAYS been on me, holstered. The capacity, accuracy, and functioning of the weapon has always been one of the top performing weapons I've owned. I've thrown around 2000 rounds through it without cleaning it, not a single misfire, bad feed, or jam. I'm confident to say I could drop this in concrete. Pick it up, and it will still deploy a round. This is my go-to firearm. For me, it just makes the cut. I'm very rigorous with my guns, because it needs to be that way. It goes bang, every time I pull the trigger. And that's all I ask for. Superb weapon from Sig.

I have owned mine for about 6 months and have not had a single FTF (failure to feed). I have shot around 500 rounds of all types of ammo from Lawman 165gr. wadcutter, Federal 180gr.JHP, Speer Gold Dot 165gr.JHP I am confident it will eat what ever I feed it. The DA trigger pull could be a little lighter, (But thats my preference). The SA trigger pull is fantastic and allows for very quick follow up shots. Needless to say it has become my everyday carry gun.

BTW...The brand new ones have a loaded chamber indicator on top of the slide. Mine does not which is good because I can get a .357 barrel for it. The conversion barrels Ive seen wont fit the one with indicator. Also my gun came with 2 grips & 2 mags.

Bought one used but like new. $450 with night sights. Very happy with it. Reliable, accurate. The trigger feels like the 226 I used to have but costs 1/2 as much. This gun is tops in this price range. Its a keeper!

My 9MM SP2022 is having the same problem as Allen's 40; the slide sticks sometimes. I have only had the gun for a few weeks and shot less than 50 rounds so far because I am bumbed that it sticks. The slide was sticking a little when I cycled it at Turners and I was told it would wear in, that doesn't sound right to me. I really love the way the gun feels when it shoots very smooth. I can not find spare mags anywhere.

I am not saying all the 2022's are bad,I just happen to recieve a bad gun,I have notice that the 40cals are the ones, and very few! are haveing problems. The 9mms are not giving problems.Anyway SIG SAUER has took my gun and are going to fix it or replace it,I have faith in SIG SAUER in making it right, and they will!

This is by far the best Sig I have ever owned, and I have owned quite a few. The double action is the smoothest of ANY double action pistol I have shot. Also, the pistol locks up very tight at slide/barrel and slide/frame. The SigPro is very underrated. Buy one. You won't be disappointed. Great gun from a great company.
